Hi! It is me “Bad, Bad Dog”. I am very lonely tonight. The
gruff voiced authority figure
said he had had enough. Whatever that means. Tomorrow I go to a
place called the
pound. I wonder if it will be like when I went to the groomer. That
was so long ago
and she was a nice human. Called me pretty, gave me cookies and
hugged me.
The authority figure said I stink and look terrible. What
does stink mean I wonder?
I look terrible because no one will brush me. I have leaves in my
ears and tail. I
do try to chew them out but I don’t have much luck. And those
lumps that hang on
me are really a drag and just flop everywhere. Hold water too, especially
when
they forget to leave the garage door open so I can get in out of
the falling water
they call rain.
Do you know the nice thing about the falling water? You don’t!
Well it fills my
water bowl cause everyone forgets and Bad, Bad Dog, that me gets
a drink.
I like falling water for that reason. I am not crazy about being
wet cause that
is not nice. It is cold and I take a long time to dry.
Oh! Company! Great, I love company. You don’t get to much
of that in the
garage. The nice man said his name was “Stanley” and then he put
me into the
back of what he called a truck. The truck is all right but I can
hear other sounds
all around me. Don’t like this feeling.
I am not used to riding and I get “sick” all over the truck.
Maybe it is the smells
I am not used too. Wish I was home in my garage.
“Stanley” had somebody named “Darla” take me to my place
in this big room that
has lots of other dogs in places they call runs. Someone called
“Sam” came to
look at me to see if I would be a candidate for the Pet Fair. Wonder
what a Pet
Fair is?
I sing my lonely song all night along with the other dogs
in their runs. This is a
nice place but it is so lonely. I miss my grass. I guess I even
miss the authority
figure and those little humans who pulled my ears.
Today, a bunch of humans came and looked at me. They seemed
nice but
they wanted a little puppy. “Darla” came by after my run was cleaned
and looked
at me again. She is nice human and she talked to me really nice.
Don’t
understand what she meant by 5 days is such a short time.
The fellow next to me left today with 2 big humans and one
little one. Wonder
if he will have grass and a garage? Dog across the hall left today
too. He left
with one of the uniformed ones and went to the back of the hall.
He never came
back. Wonder if he has grass and a garage?
“Sam” came by again today. He looked at me again and said
maybe if he could
get me cleaned up I had a chance.
Wonder what a chance is?
